NEW: Brian Wilson of Hyperion Capital Research on Seeking Alpha has Buy on Occidental Petroleum (OXY)
SUMMARY: Brian Wilson of investment research firm Hyperion Capital Research ,which specializes in "uncovering stocks with high potential" has a Long Term Buy on Occidental Petroleum (OXY).
TIP TRACKER: Click here to check the latest Yahoo Finance price.
WHY BUY ?: Mr Wilson believes OXY's results will greatly improve when the price of natural gas rebounds:
I'd expect OXY earnings from natural gas in particular to explode as a result due to the profit-margin differentials. This is where the value potential of the stock comes into play.
...The company's dividend of 2.3% is also more than enough to cover inflation, which makes shares of OXY a solid buy-and-hold stock that should only be sold after a substantial recovery in natural gas.

NEW: Independent Trader Rocco Pendola on Seeking Alpha has Sell on Apple (AAPL).
SUMMARY: Independent Trader Rocco Pendola in an article on Seeking Alpha has a bear call on Apple. NEW: On CNBC Matthew McCormick of Bahl & Gaynor has Buy on MCD.

SUMMARY: Matthew McCormick of Bahl & Gaynor recommended McDonald’s (MCD) on Bloomberg. No price target. Stock was at $97.09. Click here for latest Yahoo Finance stock price.
WHY BUY ? : McDonald’s reported good results today. McCormick likes the dividend at 4% and strong worldwide growth. He pointed out the stock had been down due to missing comp sales in February and the change of leadership at the company. Likes, though, strong same store growth in U.S. and abroad, with room to increase the average ticket. McDonald’s has raised prices, which he takes as a good sign. Down the road, international markets are a great growth opportunity due to the tie between higher wealth and greater protein consumption (i.e. chicken and beef meals at Mickey D’s). The stock did well last year, but has under-performed this year. “I think it’s a very good stock at this time”.
PRICE TARGET: No specific stock price target was mentioned.
TIME FRAME: No specific time frame mentioned.
SCORE CARD: Assuming Medium Term and will review October 24, 2012. We’ll be checking in every month to see how McCormick’s MCD call is working out.
